Babcock Ranch is excited to announce our 2nd Annual Babcock Labor Day 5K Run or Walk. Participants may choose between the chip-timed run or untimed walk. The course is a scenic, paved 3.1-mile route through Babcock Ranch. After the race, stick around and enjoy all the great amenities at Founders Square.

This event is part of the Babcock Ranch Summer Race Series, which includes:

• Run to Remember 5K Run or  Walk on May 25, 2026
• 4th of July 5K Run or Walk on July 4, 2026.
• Labor Day 5K Run or Walk on September 7, 2026.

Series Discount: Register for two or three races and receive an automatic $5.00 discount off of each race.

The series discount cannot be combined with age-based pricing or club discounts. 

Local running clubs receive a 10% discount with a unique coupon code. Please email info@beachbumtiming.com to request your code. Discount codes cannot be combined with age-based pricing or the summer series discount.

Start Time: 7:30 AM (run and walk will start together)

Start Location: In front of Lee Health, 42880 Crescent Loop, Punta Gorda, FL  33982.

Finish: Founders Square boardwalk near the bandstand area.

Early/Race Day Packet  Pickup:

September 3 & 4 | 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Babcock Ranch Lifestyles Office, 42891 Lake Babcock Dr, Punta Gorda, FL  33982.

September 7 (Race Day): 6:30 AM to 7:15 AM at Founders Square pavilion, 42850 Crescent Loop, Punta Gorda, FL 33982. If you plan to register race morning, please bring a credit card or use another means to pay for your entry. Cash is not accepted. 

Shirts: Register by midnight, August 25, 2026 to guarantee your shirt size. After that date, shirts are available while supplies last. If your preferred size is no longer available, please select a different size or choose the NO SHIRT option. The size you select at registration is guaranteed if it's available at the time you register.

Water Stations: Halfway mark and at the finish line

Rest Rooms: Near the Start Line

Parking: There is ample parking in and around Founders Square.

Awards (bandstand area):

1st Place Overall Awards: Male & Female (gun time).

1st Place Male & Female Masters(40+), Grand Masters (50+), Senior Grand Masters (60+) (gun time).

Age-group awards to the top three Male & Female in the following age groups: 9 and Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ 

All participants will receive a finisher medal. If you don't stay for your award, you are responsible for coordinating with Babcock Ranch of when you will pick it up.

Stick around after the race post race snacks.

Frequently asked questions:Q: Is this a timed race? A: Yes, the 5K "timed" is chip-timed by Beach Bum Timing.Q: Are dogs allowed on the course? A: You may run with your dog, but you assume ALL responsibility for your dog. Your pet must be leashed at all times and up to date on vaccinations. Please pick up after your pooch. Participants with dogs will start at the back of the race unless you and your dog run a sub 21 minute 5K.Q: Are strollers allowed on the course?A: Yes.
