Join us Sunday, October 15th for our 3rd Annual Beaver Dash 5k Run / Walk benefitting Special Olympics Rhode Island!

Bring the whole family for a day full of fun! The race will begin at the Smithfield Municipal Ice Rink + end at the Thirsty Beaver Hometown Pub & Grub where our post-race party will be held.

Festivities will feature a Thirsty Beaver buffet for all participants, award ceremony, live DJ, raffles, games, beer + much more!

Buffet tickets will be available to purchase for all non-participants. Light breakfast refreshments will be provided at race day check-in.

Walkers + baby strollers welcome!

TEAM COMPETITION

Unlimited number of participants per team - minimum of (5) team members required. 

     *NOTE: Team members cannot compete for multiple teams

THREE TEAMS WILL WIN...

1. FASTEST TEAM - Based on the combined times of the team's (3) fastest finishers - fastest team time WINS!

2. TEAM PARTICIPATION AWARD - Team with the MOST members who race

3. TEAM SPIRIT AWARD - ONE team that demonstrates the most TEAM SPIRIT (can include spectators + volunteers)

RACE SCHEDULE

RACE DAY: Sunday, October 15, 2023

PACKET PICKUP: 7:00am - 8:45am at the Smithfield Municipal Ice Rink

     *In-Person Race Registration will be available on race day

RACE START: 9:00am

AFTER-PARTY: The party starts when the race finishes at The Thirsty Beaver!

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

When the 5k ends, the party is just getting started! Festivities will include live entertainment, award ceremony, raffles, games + more!

BEAVER BUFFET

Because there's no better way to conclude a 5k! Enjoy a full Thirsty Beaver buffet as well as other local food vendors! Food fee included in athlete registration - buffet tickets will be on sale for all spectators.

.    *Please provide any allergies / dietary restrictions at registration so we can accommodate accordingly.

DRINKS

Runners (21+) will receive FREE alcohol samples by local vendors at our post-race party.

     *BRING YOUR ID to packet pick-up if you plan on enjoying an ice cold post-race beer.

Other drinks will include water, juices and sodas from The Thirsty Beaver

**Pre-registered minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent / guardian. The parent / guardian must sign a waiver on behalf of the minor at packet pickup.

Parking will be available across the street from the Ice Rink at Vincent J. Gallagher Middle School - 10 Indian Run Trail, Smithfield, RI 02917 as well as a secondary lot at Anna M. McCabe School - 100 Pleasant View Ave. Smithfield, RI 02917

*While both the start + finish of the race are in walking distance of the designated parking areas, race day shuttles will we available for anyone who needs them.

 

RESTROOMS

Restrooms will be available inside the Smithfield Ice Rink at the registration area / race start.

Restrooms will be located inside The Thirsty Beaver at the finish area.

 

REFUNDS

Please understand we will not be able to issue refunds for ANY reason. Please ensure you will be able to attend on Sunday, October 15, 2023 prior to registration. If for some reason you must withdraw, your packet will still be available to retrieve at all pickup opportunities.
