Columbus Day is a federal holiday that means many things to many people. For some it is a celebration of the European discovery of America or a celebration of Italian-American heritage and for others it is considered a day of remembrance and resistance. When we run, we go through many emotions and introspection, making it an activity of many perspectives. No matter your cause, this is a great time of the year as the weather starts to cool to race and reflect while you run, whether it be in celebration or remembrance.
