Ruck & Rosé 5K 
City of Westminster’s First-Ever Ruck Event!
Grab your pack and raise a glass — the Ruck & Rosé 5K is making its debut in Westminster for Mother’s Day weekend! Join us on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Wakefield Valley Park (1000 Fenby Farm Rd, Westminster, MD 21157) for a one-of-a-kind fitness event that combines strength, fun, and a little rosé flair.
What is Rucking?Rucking is simply walking or hiking with a weighted backpack (aka a “ruck”), rooted in military training. It’s low-impact, high-reward, and perfect for all fitness levels. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned rucker, this 5K course will challenge you, energize you, and leave you feeling strong. Participants must have their ruck/pack weighed at the weigh-in station both before and after the race to confirm it meets the minimum required weight.
